“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”. Ephesians 6:12 NIV
Well, it finally happened. Both Marsha and I have had Covid involving a few weeks of waves of symptoms, including for me the loss of taste and smell. For me, Covid has been a moderate inconvenience but for our country, it has been a major catastrophe. For almost a million people the loss of life and for millions of others, the loss of livelihood. We have entered into a “New Normal.”
In the midst of all the physical destruction and devastation of Covid, we must be careful not to become myopic and only see the draconian governmental overreach, medical confusion, and the predatorial instincts of Big Pharma with a variety of economic impacts.
As Christians, we must never forget, and we must always be mindful of the Spiritual perspective of reality. As we read the newspapers and hear the news, we must be mindful to reframe reality from a Biblical perspective. The whole world lies in the lap of the evil one…. The god of this world is blinding the eyes of the unbelieving…. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers.
Who is the one who hates Israel, denigrates the Bible, who desires that the church be silenced and limit its impact upon society, who wishes to destroy all sense of morality and sexual decency, and deny the right of life to the unborn? And do not forget - he is the great deceiver and the father of lies. The Church is not only in a Covid crisis or a cultural war.
The Church is in a cosmic battle. It is important to know your enemy.
• THE WORLD is our External Foe • THE FLESH is our Internal Foe • THE DEVIL is our Infernal Foe
Game On Christian! Ephesians 6:11-18
